vs Glenrothes Strollers
A warm Spring evening and another effective performance, as the squad returns to almost full strength after a season of injuries and disruption. Ally Brown and Darren Campbell share a seven-goal haul against a spirited Glenrothes.
An almost full-strength squad was available for the first time since October and the Norries showed some of the style that characterised their early season form. DARREN CAMPBELL opened the scoring within ten minutes and after a series of close things, ALLY BROWN (2), JACK MATSON (pen) and another from DARREN, made it 5-0 at the first break.
The second period saw ALLY BROWN complete his hat trick, whilst JAMIE FORRESTER and DARREN CAMPBELL took the score to 8-0. Glenrothes did make several threatening breaks but Michael Fleming and Conor Young were solid at the back, whilst goalkeeper Ally Moore dealt well with anything that reached him.
In the final period, the Norries continued to press, with Chris Campbell always threatening down the right flank. ALLY BROWN grabbed his fourth goal, whilst JAMIE FORRESTER got his second and CAMMY ROBERTSON completed the scoring. It had been a good showing and it was enjoyable to play a match without the hindrance of pouring rain or a gale force wind.
