vs Kennoway
A cold day at Dalgety Bay hosted a closely-contested match, with the Norries just failing to find their way back into the match with a strong push in the final period.
After another three week break, the Norries entertained Kennoway and, as ever, it was a keenly-contested affair. Both teams were solid at the back and scoring chances were few and far between. Kennoway took the lead late in the first period with a scrambled effort and went two up early in the second period.
The Norries then switched their formation to increase their attacking options, and Jamie Forrester and Cammy Robertson began to test the visiting defence. In the final period, the Norries pushed Ally Brown and Darren Campbell into attack and the balance of the game started to move in their favour.
With 15 minutes to go, ALLY BROWN capitalised on a defensive mistake to knock home a reply for the home side and the Norries began to push for the equaliser. Jamie Forrester and Lewis Smith had good efforts before Ally Brown met a cross on the volley, and his shot flew just over the bar.
In the end it was just not quite enough from the Norries who put in a huge effort, with several players giving excellent performances. Kennoway also showed their qualities, particularly early in the game, and Ally Moore in the Norries goal made a couple of first class saves.
