vs Jeanfield Swifts

The Norries were down to the bare bones for the visit to Jeanfield - their first competitive match for over two months.  It was a roller-coaster of a contest, where the lack of match practice and depleted squad eventually took their toll.  Jeanfield put in an excellent performance and responded well when they fell behind twice in the match.

With only 11 fit players and sorely short of match practice, the Norries expected a tough challenge in Perth, and found themselves in a closely-contested match where neither side was secure in their lead until the final ten minutes.  The Norries took the lead at 1-0 and fought back to lead 3-2, before fading in the last 15 minutes to lose 6-4.

The Norries goals came from CONOR DURIE, CONNER HUTCHISON, DARREN CAMPBELL and an own goal.  The Norries misery was complete when Jack Hynd suffered a freak injury and left the Norries down to ten men.  A visit to hospital confirmed that the unfortunate Jack had broken his wrist.

We all wish Jack a speedy recovery and the remainder of the squad will need to re-double their efforts to get their performances back  on track in his absence.
