vs LKB
This was a lacklustre performance in which the Norries never raised their game until they were two down. The strong wind and hard, uneven park made good football difficult but were no excuse for such a sluggish showing.
The first period was fairly even and whilst LKB domintaed territory, the Norries carved out the three best chances. None were converted, and when LKB got in behind the Norries in the second period, they took lead. The Norries pressed for the remainder of the period but without any real penetration.
The final period started poorly for the Norries, when a long clearance was spilled by the 'keeper and the LKB centre knocked the ball into the empty net. The Norries then woke up at last and pushed hard for a response. When Ally Brown's header came off the bar, it seemed to land well over the line, but the ref disagreed and waved play on. With five minutes left, Ryan Campbell hung another cross to the back post and this time ALLY BROWN powered his header into the net.
The Norries then pushed for the equaliser but the cutting edge just wasn't there, and LKB celebrated a hard-earned victory. The Norries now face a period of five games in ten days and will need to raise their game from this performance to finish the season on a high.
