Want to Help
The Norries are pleased to be associated with a range of local businesses who share our ethos of developing children in a way which complies not only with with the SYFA regulations but also, importantly for us, in a way which would have made Norrie McCathie very proud.
The Benevolent fund is a registered charity and the monthly fees from the children go a long way to covering our costs but our commitment to give the best training in the best facilities requires more than the fees and the fundraising undertaken by many parents throughout the year.
In the players under 12s year the squad are taken to Holland to take part in the Haarlem Cup. Many see this as the highlight of their Norries career and fond memories of the trip, when they travel with their "team mates" to represent not only "The Norries" but Scotland in this international tournament, will live with them for many years to come.
The average cost per player to go to Holland is around £550. This equates to more than two years worth of each players monthly fees and this is where local business support is so important.
There are many ways in which local businesses can become involved and these range from a straight financial contribution to the fund, which has charitable status and therefore tax advantages, to the purchase of kits; taking a table our annual sportsman's dinner.
